Presten
The most beautiful climb in Lofoten
The West Pillar
The priest offers the best climbing in Lofoten. 10 rope lengths with even and fine rock climbing at grade N5, with some small sections with grade N6. The trip is suitable for people who have climbed a lot before and are comfortable with airy and exposed climbing.
On the way to Henningsvær, 20 minutes from Svolvær is the large sea cliff Presten. It has been used as a navigation point by fishermen for many years. In the last 30 years, climbing has also become popular here. The Vestpillaren route offers world-class rice climbing and midnight sun if we are lucky. The return down from the mountain takes us past the popular mountain peak Festvågtind. A long day in the mountains with great nature experiences is perhaps what best describes the trip.
